SELA and FAO organise workshop to strengthen the cocoa industry in Latin America and the Caribbean

The Latin American and Caribbean Economic System (SELA) and the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) are organising the Workshop "Strengthening the cocoa industry in Latin America and the Caribbean," to be held on 22 April at SELA's headquarters in Caracas.

The activity is aimed at exchanging information and best practices in the cocoa and chocolate production chain in the region, as well as sharing best practices in the regulatory area to promote the growth of the cocoa industry sector.

The workshop "Strengthening the cocoa industry in Latin America and the Caribbean" will be held in a hybrid format (face-to-face and online) and will be addressed to cocoa entrepreneurs and producers in the region. It will be broadcast through our networks and participants can register at the following link: https://bit.ly/49xeX3i

SELA and FAO propose the meeting as a space to exchange experiences on the international regulations required for exports, potentials and opportunities, as well as a space to share best practices and learning, creating an opportunity for the creation of a network of regional contacts in the cocoa sector.

The Workshop "Strengthening the cocoa industry in Latin America and the Caribbean" is an extension of the Seminar on access to the European market for the cocoa and coffee sectors, organised by SELA and FAO last January, as a space for members to share experiences, learn about the exportable offer in the region and coordinate strategies for the benefit of the region.
