SELA welcomes appointment of new Foreign Minister of Ecuador

The Permanent Secretary of the Latin American and Caribbean Economic System (SELA), Ambassador Clarems Endara, congratulates the new Foreign Minister of Ecuador, Gustavo Manrique, and reiterates his commitment to continue working in coordination and convergence for the development and integration of the region.

Gustavo Manrique has been the Minister of Environment, Water and Ecological Transition since 2021. Following the resignation of Juan Carlos Holguin, the President of Ecuador, Guillermo Lasso, appointed Manrique as the new Foreign Minister.

Ecuador has been a member of SELA since 1976, with which it has always maintained a close relationship of synergy and joint work for the well-being of Latin America and the Caribbean.
