The Latin American and Caribbean Economic System (SELA) presented on Monday to the authorities of the Vice-Ministry for the Development of Micro and Small Enterprises of the Plurinational State of Bolivia the results of the mapping of potential productive niches for that Member State.
SELA was able to identify the potential export sectors of Bolivia, focusing on the agri-food sector and goods with high economic complexity, as well as to conduct a diagnosis on intra- and extra-regional trade productive chains.
This presentation of results is part of SELA's work agenda with Bolivia. In the next stage, employment figures will be identified and a joint publication will be made by SELA and Bolivian institutions.
The identification of potential productive niches is part of the Project for Productive Coordination to strengthen SMEs, which is being developed by SELA and is included in the Work Programme for the economic recovery of the region.
