SELA makes floral tribute in front of the sarcophagus of Liberator Simón Bolívar

Within the framework of the 47th anniversary of the Latin American and Caribbean Economic System (SELA), the Permanent Secretary, Ambassador Clarems Endara, made a floral offering at the sarcophagus that holds the mortal remains of Liberator Simón Bolívar in the National Pantheon, Caracas.
The Permanent Secretary of SELA led the offering to the Liberator Simón Bolívar accompanied by the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs for Multilateral Issues, Rubén Darío Molina; the Ambassador of Mexico to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Leopoldo de Gyves; as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited to Venezuela and employees of the organisation based in Caracas.
In 1975, the Panama Convention agreed to establish SELA as a regional organisation for consultation, coordination, cooperation, and joint economic and social promotion, of a permanent nature, with international legal personality, made up of sovereign Latin American States.
SELA is currently made up of 24 States: Argentina, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay and Venezuela.
