The Latin American and Caribbean Economic System (SELA), jointly with the Embassy of Bolivia in Venezuela and the Foreign Trade Bank of Venezuela (Bancoex), held the II Preparatory Meeting within the framework of the 46th International Fair of Santa Cruz, to take place from 16 to 25 September in Bolivia, as a space for promoting trade exchange and commercial partnerships in the region.
“Trade operators have the responsibility to speed up this trade exchange, which aims to seek a balance both in trade and relations. Expocruz will allow not only to trade, but also to gain experience and knowledge about the logistics for trade between both countries, which in turn will strengthen trade relations between Bolivia and Venezuela,” said the Permanent Secretary of SELA, Ambassador Clarems Endara, in his opening remarks at the event.
For his part, the Ambassador of the Plurinational State of Bolivia in Venezuela, Sebastián Michel, thanked the attendance of the businessmen who believe in the capacity of Bolivia, consolidated in Expocruz, as an example of all that it can contribute to the region.
Likewise, the representative of Bacoex, Freer Romero, highlighted the support of the financial institution for the Venezuelan businessmen who participate in the International Fair of Santa Cruz. “Bancoex as a banking institution and promotion agency will be the bridge of commercial diplomacy between Bolivia and Venezuela in non-oil exports and natural and strategic markets, using its participation in Expocruz as international business alliances,” he said.
The II Preparatory Meeting within the framework of the 46th International Fair of Santa Cruz, held in the headquarters of SELA, in Caracas, was attended by representatives of the private and public sectors, who are getting ready to participate in the 46th edition of Expocruz 2022, where nearly 2,000 brands and more than 20 countries from different continents will be present to strengthen international alliances that favour trade exchanges in the region.
