SELA opens vacancy for Social Development Analyst specialised in migration

The Latin American and Caribbean Economic System (SELA) has opened a call for applications for the position of Analyst of Social Development specialized in Migration, who is expected to promote national and regional systems, programmes and proposals that strengthen the role of the migrant community in the construction of social and
political pacts that guarantee access to and effective exercise of their civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights in the region, through the implementation of public policies, with high standards of quality, timeliness, relevance and validity, to promote social protection in this area in the Member States of SELA.
Applications are open for local staff and can be submitted from Monday 20 June to Monday 4 July this year. The evaluation of the applications and selection of candidates will take place from 5 to 11 July, and the elected candidate will be notified on 12 July and is scheduled to take office on 15 July 2022 at the headquarters of SELA, located in Caracas.
Applicants for the position of Analyst of Social Development must be a professional with a master's or doctoral degree in Social Sciences, Law, Political Science, International Relations or other related fields, preferably with a specialisation in Migration Law, Human Rights, Human Mobility, with at least 5 years of professional experience in research on issues relevant to migration.
The experience and knowledge acquired in planning, monitoring, follow-up and evaluation of strategies, programmes and development projects at the regional level in Latin America and the Caribbean will also be valued.
