US Ambassador visited major industrial free zone in Haiti

Dajabon, Dominican Republic, July 28, 2014.- U.S. ambassador James Brewster and his colleague in Haiti, Pamela White visited the facilities of the Codevi Free Zone where they were welcomed by company executives Fernando and Mercedes Capellan.

The ambassadors also greeted the 7,000 Haitian workers of Codevi, government officials and community leaders of the towns Ouanaminthe, Haiti and Dajabón, Dominican Republic.

The two ambassadors also toured the community in Haiti’s northeast.

In his visit to Dajabon, Brewster also met with members of the United States Peace Corp who live and work in communities near the city in Dominican Republic’s northwest.
