Moscow, May 29, 2014 (Télam).- Foreign Minister, Hector Timerman held an encounter in Moscow with his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov who confirmed that Argentina will be invited to the summit of the group made up by Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa to take place in northeastern Brazil’s Fortaleza on July 15.
Also, Vladimir Putin's government official ratified his support to the Argentine position in relation to the Malvinas Islands issue.
Lavrov also confirmed the tour through Latin America of President Vladimir Putin, and explained that during so, the Russian leader will meet with President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner.
After the encounter with Timerman, Lavrov also remarked the Russian interest to increase its investments in Argentina, in the hydroelectric and nuclear energy sectors.
Besides, he showed interest in diversifying the trade relations with Argentina and increasing the bonds with the MERCOSUR bloc.
