New York, September 23, 2014.- Serbian First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic met with Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla yesterday, on the sidelines of the 69th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
In the meeting, the first in a series of activities on Dacic’s agenda this week, the bilateral cooperation between Serbia and Cuba was described as excellent, Serbian Foreign Ministry said in a release.
The Serbian foreign minister thanked Cuba for the support regarding Kosovo-Metohija and invited his Cuban counterpart to visit Serbia. Minister Rodriguez Parrilla said that Cuba is interested in strengthening the cooperation in the fields of technology, medicine and pharmaceutical industry.
The Cuban foreign minister supported the initiative to promote Serbia’s relations with the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), the release states.
