In the updated Work Programme for 2022-2026 of the Latin American and Caribbean Economic System (SELA), the Economic Recovery Area contemplates the execution of 24 activities during the year 2024, focused on three (3) Programmes aimed at economic integration, trade facilitation and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
In the Economic Integration Programme, the Institutional Convergence and Cooperation for Integration project focuses on four (4) planned activities.
The Trade Facilitation programme includes the projects Network of Digital and Collaborative Ports and Trade promotion in Latin America and the Caribbean with nine (9) activities.
Likewise, the SMEs programme includes the projects Productive articulation for stronger SMEs and Seizing the opportunities of the industries of cultural and creative goods and services for economic recovery, which contain 11 activities planned for the year 2024.
The proposed programmes with their activities are considered key to accelerate the economic recovery of Latin America and the Caribbean and thus contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals: SDG 5: Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls; SDG 8: Decent work and economic growth; SDG 9: Industry, innovation, and infrastructure; SDG 10: Reduced inequalities; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the goals.
