Integration in our region is a heritage that has been developed and valued for more than seven decades, adapting its mechanisms to the specific needs of each region and subregion, with an ambitious vision that has allowed the accumulation of great achievements in different areas, enriching its regulatory and institutional acquis. However, the efforts to achieve convergence in a full, harmonised and articulated integration that includes the entire Latin American and Caribbean region have not yielded the expected results.
The Forum on Regional integration, perspectives and experiences of Latin America and the Caribbean, organised by the Latin American and Caribbean Economic System (SELA), aims to:
